BRAWLEY ? Five palm trees that stand on the east side of Highway 86 south of Legion Road here are charred after catching on fire Wednesday night.
The cause of the fire is unknown, Brawley fire Capt. Jesse Zendejas said. It took two fire engines close to two hours to put out the fire. No one was injured.
The palm trees are on property owned by John R. Benson Farms, Zendejas said.
