I was just wondering, is there a pumpkin patch in the Imperial Valley? As much as I want that experience for my kids, I really don’t feel like driving to San Diego. — Imperial Valley pumpkin seeker

Valley residents seeking a traditional fall pumpkin patch are in luck. There will be one Saturday in Imperial. Calls to the El Centro Chamber of Commerce and the Imperial County Farm Bureau led Probe to Imperial Valley College, which is hosting its pumpkin patch and IVC open house. Bill Gay, IVC’s director of community and media relations, said there will be a pumpkin patch, pumpkin launches, hayrides and more.
The IVC Ag Club’s pumpkin patch will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the IVC campus on 380 E. Aten Road in Imperial. As far as Probe is aware, it is the only pumpkin patch in the Valley.
