A 4-year-old Lake Elsinore boy suffered head lacerations early today after being ejected from a Dodge Caravan that overturned on northbound Highway 111, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The boy was pinned underneath the vehicle moments after the 4:30 a.m. incident unfolded on the highway north of Keystone Road, the Highway Patrol reported.
The boy was traveling with four other children and two adults when the tread from the right rear wheel separated and caused driver Silvia Gomez to lose control of her vehicle when it overturned, the Highway Patrol reported. The boy was flown out to a San Diego area hospital for treatment.
