Tavia Grace Taylor and Brandon Scott Felty, both of Yuma, exchanged vows March 1 in Yuma. The wedding was traditional and was officiated by the Rev. Jerry Rowell Jr. Parents of the bride are Kenton and Fairelene Taylor of El Centro. Parents of the groom are Andrew and Regina Felty of Yuma. The wedding gown was a designer gown from Amour Bridal of San Diego. It was a long candle light gown with a satin-beaded bodice; the skirt was made of organza with pick-ups and a long train with beaded insets.

I read, with more than usual interest, the report of the ghost that haunts Heber College. Many years ago I saw the ghost. A group of my friends interested in paranormal events accompanied me to the college. We held a seance. Just when we were about to give up, the ghost, or spirit entity, appeared. She was dressed in an evening gown of golden beige silk. It was fitted princess style to the waist, then flared. The neckline was a band around her neck, overlaid with beige gold lace.

Myers, son of Mark B. and Virginia Myers of Brawley on January 31, 2009 at Faith Assembly of God church in Imperial. Pastor Dave Conrad officiated the traditional ceremony. The bride wore a classic ivory, silk taffeta, strapless, A-line gown. The gown featured an asymmetric dropped waist, a ruched bodice and chapel style train. She donned a traditional veil with crystal teardrops.

Parents of the bride are Sharon Slovak of El Centro and Thomas Slovak of Palm Springs. The parents of the groom are Henry and Emily Wu of Houston. The bride wore an Amy Michelson strapless silk satin bias-cut gown with a sweep train and Swavorski crystal details on the drop waist sash. Her veil was a simple fingertip veil.

The groom?s mother is Lydia Torres of Fresno. The bride wore a strapless ivory hand-beaded gown. Her bouquet was made of 12 ivory roses with silver tips. Maid of honor was Eleanor Talpey. Best man was Kent Rogers. The reception was held at Riverside Resort and Casino. The bride is a student. The groom is employed by Union Pacific Railroad as a locomotive engineer.

Jessica is the daughter of Martha Kemper of Ocotillo and Jesus Nuñez of Heber. She is also the stepdaughter of George Kemper of Ocotillo. Antonio is the son of Ruth Sanchez of Ecuador and the late Antonio Sanchez. Jessica was walked down the aisle by her father and stepfather and the traditional ceremony was officiated by Randy Williams. The bride wore a Maggie Sottero gown.
